The WizKids Open is Back and Better than Ever!

Program expands outside the US to Europe, Latin America and Canada – offering awesome tournaments and prizes to players and retailers

Hillside, NJ —December 8, 2016 – WizKids is pleased and excited to announce the return of their popular “WizKids Open” series of in-store tabletop game tournaments for 2016. The 2016 WizKids Open program includes a series of regional tournaments, held at selected friendly local game shops, where players will battle it out in HeroClix, Dice Masters, and Attack Wing games for supremacy and amazing prizes.

While previous WizKids Open events were limited to stores in the United States, WizKids has begun a global expansion by opening up the tournaments to retailers and players in Europe, Latin America and Canada.

At the WizKids Open events, which begin in February 2016 in the US, players will not only be battling it out for a chance to win their regional titles, but also can earn eligibility to participate in the National WizKids tournaments.

While participating stores in Latin America and Canada will be revealed in the coming weeks, with Europe following shortly after, WizKids Open 2016 US locations include:

  • Chicagoland Games (Chicago, IL)
  • Games and Stuff (Glen Burnie, MD)
  • Eternal Games (Warren, MI)
  • Highlander Games (Boynton, NJ)
  • Millennium Games (Rochester, NY)
  • Dragon’s Lair (Austin, TX)
  • Olympic Cards and Games (Lacey, WA)

Players should register immediately, as WizKids is going to be giving away significant prize packs to players chosen randomly from those who have pre-registered for the US events by 1/15/2015.
