Today, over on the Playmates Toys Facebook page, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles team released this image and slightly cryptic message announcing a new spin on the TMNT figures coming in 2015:

“Mix and Match your own Turtle Mutation 2015″

Then, an hour later posting:

“Exclusive behind the scenes – Mutation TV commercial“

This new extension of the Playmates TMNT line appears to function like the Hasbro line of “Mashers” interchangeable part figures that they are currently doing with the Marvel and Transformers licenses.

I’m sure we will learn more about these in February at Toy Fair.
