Topps Kicks off Second Annual Month-long Pop-up Truck covered in Over 11,000 Baseball Cards

Leading Trading Card Company Returns this Summer with Nationwide Truck Tour in Honor of Global Card Collecting Holiday

(New York, NY, July 6, 2022) – Topps®, a leading sports and entertainment trading card company and a part of Fanatics Collectibles, is excited to announce the nationwide return of its second annual, cross country pop-up truck tour in celebration of Topps International Trading Card Day on Saturday, August 6.

This summer, Topps is embarking on a new adventure across eight cities, welcoming fans nationwide to celebrate International Trading Card Day and their love for collecting through interactive games and experiences, along with free Major League Baseball trading cards, Topps swag giveaways, and the opportunity to relish in one of America’s favorite past times – trading card collecting. The Topps Truck, wrapped entirely in over 11,000 baseball cards, will travel more than 8,000 miles, bringing the ultimate fandom experience to sports and entertainment fans nationwide.

The Topps Truck will kick off on Friday, July 16 at MLB’s All-Star Week in Los Angeles, CA, and will travel throughout the country leading up to International Trading Card Day in New York City on August 6. In 2021, the truck tour reached over 22,000 fans and collectors during the six-city tour, giving away more than 14,000 trading card packs during each stop. This year, the Topps Truck is hitting even more markets on their 8-city tour, with a goal to giveaway more than 20,000 packs of cards during their stops at MLB stadiums and local fan-filled events in Los Angeles, CA, Kansas City, MO, Boston, MA, Philadelphia, PA, New York, NY, and Cooperstown, NY. Making its Major League Soccer debut, the truck will also stop in Minneapolis, MN for the MLS All Star Game, and will also be in Williamsport, PA for the Little League World Series, and return to Deyersville, IA for the Field of Dreams Game.

Throughout the month-long journey, the onsite teams in each location will host trivia contests and cornhole games, along with free baseball cards and Topps swag giveaways. Fans are also invited to take a photo in a life-size Topps card frame to become their own card, as well as trade at the mobile Topps Card Wall, a staple activity at Topps events.

Additionally, Topps will be giving away packs of MLB, UEFA Champions League and Garbage Pail Kids cards and gifts with purchase in hobby shops internationally in honor of International Trading Card Day. On August 6, consumers will receive an exclusive Shohei Ohtani card and an exclusive Wander Franco card on August 13 for returning guests spending $10 or more at select hobby shops.
