Ubisoft Kindly Asks You To Not Spoil Assassin’s Creed Mirage

Assassin's Creed Mirage is one of the highlights of a very busy month for gaming, and with its release set for October 5, Ubisoft has taken to social media to kindly request that players of the game hold back from spoiling the story for those around them. "With the launch of Assassins Creed Mirage upon us, we would kindly ask you to consider your fellow Assassin's and refrain from posting or sharing unmarked spoilers that would impact their experience," Ubisoft tweeted.

Typically, you'll have to do some legwork to ensure that your personal experience of a certain single-player game remains unspoiled in the age of social media. Muting keywords, phrases, and titles does help, as the internet is typically flooded with spoilers and reactions to key moments within days of a game being formally released. Even in the days before a game hits its targeted release date, there are warnings to watch out for spoilers when a title breaks that date and copies are circulating in the wild.

Notable recent examples include Mortal Kombat 1, Starfield, and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, which has regularly led to developers to ask fans to be mindful of others and not leak plot details online out of common courtesy. To take things a step further, you can protect yourself online with a few other steps. YouTube can be a minefield of spoilers after a game launches, especially if you've been watching trailers for previews for a certain game before launch. It's not uncommon for YouTube to recommend raw gameplay that is loaded with spoilers, but there's an easy way to avoid this.
