We are exactly a week away from being able to talk about the new tidal wave of Star Wars products that will hit stores on September 4th for “Force Friday”… but in the meantime there ARE new Star Wars toys that we CAN talk about! Walgreens is getting another quartet of EXCLUSIVE Funko Pop! Vinyl figures. Over the Summer Walgreens had an exclusive set of four exclusive Marvel Comics POPs, and this Fall we get four new Star Wars POPs!
This wave of Walgreens POP exclusives are all from the original trilogy.
We get:
- Boba Fett (Prototype)
- Yoda (Spirit)
- Snowtrooper
- Royal Guard
Like the other Star Wars POPs in the line these are all bobble-heads. The also come with a stand, but the stand is removable.
These should start “popping” up in Walgreens stores in September (but looking at Ebay it looks like they are hitting some stores already).
Prototype Boba Fett
As you will remember one of the original Walgreens exclusives was “Proto” Boba Fett from Hasbro’s 6″ Star Wars Black line last summer. It makes sense that they would be the ones to bring us the Proto Fett POP! This figure was revealed about 2 weeks ago by the Boba Fett Fan Club.
Glow-In-The-Dark Spirit Yoda
Even in the Special Editions Spirit Yoda didn’t wield a lightsaber, but we can excuse the mash up because it’s a great glow-in-the-dark repaint of the existing Yoda POP.
And yes, he glows like a champ! I love that his eyes stay black when he glows.
Snowtrooper
An all NEW POP character, and a trooper builder at that. The Snowtrooper has always been one of my favorite designs in the Star Wars Universe. The snowtrooper comes holding his blaster ready to track down the rebels on Hoth before they escape!
Royal Guard
This is a smart pick for Walgreens for an exclusive POP, because you can’t just have ONE. You need at least two of them flanking your Emperor POP. These stoic guards come with their Force pikes.
