Watch Austin Mahone’s ’12 Holidaze’ Performance Of ‘Jingle Bells’ (VIDEO)

Watch Austin Mahone sing "Jingle Bells" for "12 Holidaze"!

Unless you've been living under a rock lately, you'll have noticed that the holiday season is officially in FULL FORCE. That also means it's the time of year where you can't set foot in any establishment, be it an Olive Garden or your local GAP, without hearing every single holiday song ever. Like, we're talking everything from Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You" to the slowest, most somber rendition of "Silent Night" (oof...pass the eggnog). Regardless of how we may feel about most holiday songs, we thought we'd ask some of our favorite artists to join us in celebrating the season -- like, maybe by livening things up a bit with their own holiday tune. The first artist joining us is Austin Mahone, who chose to sing "Jingle Bells" (alongside his mom and a golden retriever...AW).

Singing "Jingle Bells" amid a cartoonish, snowy set, Austin is decked out in a full Santa hat and red holiday sweatshirt, a look he told us he's all for: "[Holiday sweaters] are cool. They're kinda traditional and romantic at the same time." As for why he chose to sing "Jingle Bells," Austin divulged, "I grew up singing that song with my family and my friends, and it's just a fun song to sing, y'know? It's upbeat."

And of course we couldn't resist asking Austin what he's doing for the holidays: "I'm gonna be celebrating Christmas by going down to San Antonio where I'm from and spending Christmas with my family and my friends. We'll be setting up the Christmas tree, hanging ornaments, making cookies, and spending time together." Sounds like a perfect all-American holiday fest to us. And although the newly licensed singer can now drive all around his hometown in a shiny red CAR, he still fondly remembers the day he got another set of wheels -- a shiny red bike (we're detecting a theme here), a Christmas present from when he was 5 years old. Guess things haven't changed much! On the other hand, nobody give this guy socks for Christmas -- unless they're filled with STUFFERS: "I got socks one year, which was pretty bad," says the singer of his least favorite gift.

Austin also filled us in on his favorite holiday memory (other than performing "Jingle Bells" for MTV, OBVIOUSLY): "My favorite memory was when it snowed in Texas. It never snows ever, then one year it did, and it was awesome. I think it was 2007. It was crazy. we didn't really know what to do, but I was out there making snow angels and throwing snowballs at my granddad." Sounds pretty perfect to us.
