Watch Exclusive Footage Of ‘The World Will Know’ From The Broadway Production Of ‘Newsies’ (VIDEO)

The cast of the Broadway production of 'Newsies'

Ummm, I'm not even going to tell you how many times I watched the original "Newsies" film as a kid, but the number is probably somewhere between 999 and 1,000 -- I was mildly obsessed. So you can imagine my excitement when I got word that the original Broadway "Newsies" soundtrack was being released! I had an even larger flip-out when I heard that we got our hands on some behind-the-scenes action and a sneak peek at the "The World Will Know,” one of my favorite songs from the movie and the Broadway show.

The Broadway score features music by eight-time Academy Award winner Alan Menken ("Beauty and the Beast," "Aladdin," "Sister Act," NBD), lyricist Jack Feldman and a book by four-time Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein -- basically, everyone who is anyone in the Broadway world ever is behind this production, which was nominated for EIGHT Tony Awards.

"Newsies" fans, I'd like to point out Jeremy Jordan, the show's lead character. He's a highly skilled actor, dancer and singer ("West Side Story," "Rock Of Ages" and "Bonnie & Clyde") and I'm considering making him my boyfriend. In case you're unfamiliar with the show's lead, you'll see Jeremy slay "The World Will Know" while dancing around with his fellow Newsies. (OH my God, that "Newsies" choreo...) We're also treated to shots of Jeremy and the rest of the cast recording the unforgettable soundtrack in the studio.

So be our guest -- sit back and enjoy this sneak peek of "The World Will Know," sung to you by some of the best boys on Broadway. And then run out and get the "Newsies" original cast recording -- it's in stores now and features three bonus songs -- and get tickets to "Newsies" on Broadway for like, 25 consecutive shows. (Which is my plan.)
