Watch WALK THE MOON’s ‘MTV Unplugged’ Performance!

Watch WALK THE MOON go acoustic for "MTV Unplugged."

WALK THE MOON is known for the sun-soaked, face-painted anthems like their breakthrough hit, "Anna Sun." But, as the band will prove in their "MTV Unplugged" performance, they're just as infectious without their amplifiers. Even with drummer Sean Waugaman trading in his sticks for brushes, "Tightrope" still bursts with energy thanks to the band's sleek strumming and signature group vocals. Their harmonies turn tender in keyboard ballad "Iscariot," which hushes the crowd to the point where you can almost hear the stunned awe -- and every nuance of Nicholas Petricca's breathy melody reminds us of a young Paul Simon.

And even without knobs to twiddle, the band finds ways to pump up the volume -- we already revealed their breathtaking a cappella version of Yeah Yeah Yeahs' "Maps," which still wows with its ingenious body percussion. And of course, WALK THE MOON deliver a typically crucial version of "Anna Sun," which, much like the entire "Unplugged" set, goes from indie-rock wrecking ball to a stripped-down stunner.
