WWE Confirms It’s Signed AEW’s Jade Cargill

Former AEW TBS Champion Jade Cargill has signed with WWE, first reported by ESPN and then quickly confirmed by WWE itself. Cargill had originally tried out for the sports-entertainment juggernaut a few years ago, but soon signed with rival promotion All Elite Wrestling and made a name for herself within that company in a short matter of time.

Cargill was AEW's longest-reigning TBS champion and appeared on AEW television as recently as two weeks ago. Now she will start with WWE on Tuesday at its Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, and has already signed a multi-year contract.

The rumors that Cargill had signed have been whirling for a while now as she took time away from AEW over the summer and then lost clean to current TBS Champion Kris Statlander in a rematch for the title. Any plans for a debut or scheduled match haven't been announced yet, but it's expected that she could be a major player once she makes her mark.
