After Parasite, Here’s Where You Can Watch Bong Joon Ho’s Other Movies

After Bong Joon Ho's Parasite took home four Oscars at the 92nd Academy Awards, many cinephiles are probably wanting to dive deeper into the director's filmography. Luckily, two of Bong's biggest films are available to currently watch on Netflix, and the rest of his films are on various other services.

Bong's most well-known film available on the streaming service is 2013's Snowpiercer. Starring Chris Evans, the film takes place in a post-apocalyptic world, where climate change has caused another ice age, and people have to live on a train to avoid the wintery landscape. Of course, a new class system emerges from this world, where the rich live in the front of the train and the poor in the back--and a revolution is brewing.

In 2017, Bong directed the Netflix original Okja, which is admittedly a beautiful, weird, and depressing film. It follows a young girl who does everything in her power to protect her giant pig/hippo creature from a corporation that wants to turn it into food.

There is also 2006's The Host. Currently, it's not available on Netflix, but it does pop on there from time to time, so you can click "remind me" for when it pops back up on the service. Bong's take on the giant monster genre is an incredible one. After a company dumps a bunch of toxic chemicals, a giant creature is created, and it starts to attack people. The family of someone who had been captured by the monsters risks everything to get them back.

Below, you'll find a complete list of where to stream Bong's work--as long as you have a subscription to said services or don't mind watching ads. Many of his films can be rented or bought digitally.
